Your mission
- You bring your procurement experience and expertise to the development of cost reduction measures and strategies for commodity group optimization
- You are responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of the workstreams and their activities in your area of responsibility.
- There you will develop effective cost reduction measures and commodity group optimization plans (Value Creation Plan) for the purchasing department by applying potential analyses, the preparation of tenders, the application of commercial as well as technical purchasing levers and make-or-buy decisions.
- In your role you are also responsible for the development of our consultants on the projects
- You coach clients and own consultants, convince in discussions and workshops and actively share your knowledge
Your profile
- A completed master's degree from a well-known university
- At least 4 years of professional experience in procurement in an international, market-leading company, ideally with project experience
- A deep and fundamental understanding of procurement and experience in areas such as commodity group management, commodity group strategy, material cost reduction, negotiations and supplier days (in particular also dealing with monopoly situations, game-theoretical approaches and more)
- You bring with you: analytical understanding, potential assessments, tricks of the trade in dealing with SAP data
- You also have specific expert knowledge in one or more of the following product groups: electrical components, mechanical parts such as castings, stampings and welded parts, or for raw materials such as steel and plastics. Alternatively, you bring expert knowledge in several indirect commodity groups. This includes experience and knowledge of procurement levers, market knowledge, supplier structure and supplier landscape.
- Experience in leading workshops and in managing a variety of procurement activities
