PROCUREMENT PULSE CHECK Q3/2025

Deep dive on the role of AI in procurement – focusing on sentiment, strategy, and transformation.

About the H&Z Procurement Pulse Check

H&Z Management Consulting regularly publishes sector-specific analyses to provide a clear view of competitiveness and transformation in key industries. The Procurement Pulse Check has become a central tool for tracking developments and capturing sentiment across procurement and supply chain functions.

Each edition combines quantitative data with qualitative insights from senior decision-makers. The result is a data-driven analysis that highlights market dynamics, challenges, and best practices shaping procurement today.

Sentiment, strategy, and the role of AI

Procurement leaders report that supply chain sentiment has stabilised after a period of decline, reflecting a cautious adjustment to ongoing volatility. At the same time, artificial intelligence is moving rapidly from theory to practice: nearly half of respondents are running pilot projects, and a quarter already use multiple AI tools in procurement.

The strongest impact over the next three years is expected in operative activities and forecasting. Success, however, will depend on internal alignment between procurement, IT, and executive management, as well as strong data quality and a clear value proposition for adoption.
