Florian Oesterle Partner bei H&Z

Florian's Career in a Nutshell

After studying business administration and a 2-year stay in France, Florian started his career at PA Consulting Group. He then joined the EY Germany Advisory "Supply Chain & Operations" team in Munich. After 4 years in consulting, the decision was made - time for a change: Florian moved to Sky to build a "Continuous Improvement Program". He was fascinated by the media industry and decided to leave pay-TV in favour of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE. But consulting called again and so in 2019 Florian was recruited by H&Z Management Consulting to become part of the "Strategy & Performance" tribe.

3 Questions to Florian:

Florian, you are now a partner at H&Z! What feelings are going through your mind?

A whole lot of feelings and emotional states 😊. But the dominant ones revolve around the term "-challenge": challenge, over-challenge, under-challenge, promotion ..... and above all respect for the new role and the new tasks. But also great joy that the partnership has expressed confidence in me and shows appreciation. It has to be said: I simply have total desire and motivation to advance our clients' and my topics in a great team.

Florian, please tell us what you focus on at H&Z. What are you burning for in terms of content?

At H&Z, my topics come under the tribe "Strategy & Performance" - but clearly more in the area of performance. I mainly deal with all kinds of process optimisation, organisational structure and their alignment with the respective business model of the client.

In all optimisations and changes, however, the people acting are in the foreground for me - process documentations and the paper used for them are usually patient and nothing substantial fits. It is precisely the implementation, the enthusiasm of the employees and the sustainability of the change that are of great concern to me.

Above all the content-related topics, methodologies and approaches, my priority is always the cooperation with our clients, the exchange and the achievement of customised individual solutions. True to the motto: brain, heart, hand - using these three elements is what I burn for.

Would you like to tell us your visions for 2023 and beyond?

My vision for 2023 and certainly beyond is to become "Fit for Future" for as many customers as possible in joint projects: among other things, to finally implement the topic of digitalisation, to be less dogmatic and to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles from processes and procedures.
