Aviation, Defence & Space
Over the past few years, we’ve successfully worked with more than 50 large and medium-sized companies in the aerospace industry. In the face of growing price pressure, low profit margins, significantly increasing competition from Asia, and quickly progressing digitalization technologies, the requirements and challenges facing the aerospace industry are picking up speed.
Key Highlights
A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Martin Kroell, CEO of Autoflug and Middlestand Spokesperson in the BDLI's Executive Committee. Not only did he provide information on Autoflug, a key aviation supplier focusing on safety and rescue, with currently around 300 professionals, but he also shared profound insights into the development of aviation in Germany and Autoflug's history (founded in 1919 by German aviation pioneer G. Sedlmayr).
Another highlight was the valuable insights into the Bundeswehr procurement approach and the effects of special funds. Michael Santo and Steffen Wenzel presented recent developments in civil aviation, highlighting that the industry has shown resilience, with many sectors operating at or above pre-COVID levels.
